RUHS Sea Hawk Volleyball Families,

I wanted to send out some information that will be useful as we move into the boys volleyball season.  We will be having an All Player/Parent Meeting very soon and we will discuss some of the things below.

RUHS BVB Practice Schedule

I will be putting together a day by day calendar for all of you very shortly.  Please understand that gym time conflicts with boys and girls basketball have been the main issue with getting this out sooner.  Teams that are in season have priority and since girls basketball shares the same class period with boys volleyball, we’ve had to work around them.  With boys basketball and girls basketball moving into CIF, time in the gym is limited until both have completely finished their season.  There is no exact timetable, but we are doing our best putting something together and I will continue to give a weekly update until the full calendar has been completed.

RUHS BVB Match Schedules

RUHS BVB match schedules have been attached in the document section of the TeamApp for your information.  The Varsity program will be going to Hawaii during Spring Break this year to compete in three matches.  JV and FS will compete in our JV Tournaments and JV may compete in one of the Varsity Tournaments as well.  Please let me know if you have any questions about the match schedules.

RUHS BVB Fundraising

Attached is the fundraising information that was talked about at the Varsity Hawaii Trip Parent/Player meeting in January.  I wanted to pass along this information again and to all of our FS/JV and new parents, in case you had any other questions.  We value your support for the program and your student athlete.  We understand that our families are an essential piece in this process!  I have also attached the RUHS athletic banner form, if you also wanted to use this towards your donation goal.  Uniforms and all team gear have been ordered for all levels and we look forward to outfitting our programs. Each player is asked to donate at least $250 to the Boys Indoor Volleyball ASB account.  We do not receive the entire amount raised through SnapRaise but it is a large percentage and an effective tool for fundraising.  Here is a link to donate to the Boys Volleyball ASB account directly:  Donate to Boys Volleyball Here!!  You can also write a check payable to RUHS Boys Volleyball with your player’s name in the notes and give it to the ASB Office directly.

RUHS BVB Registration/Clearance

All Players must have Boys Volleyball registration and athletic clearance on file.  ASAP each student needs to get registered online and turn in physical if not on file. Here is a direct link to the registration process.

RUHS BVB Tournament Volunteers/Snack Bar

Thank you to Marlene Iosia who has continued to volunteer time at our four tournaments and snack bar.  It’s an important part of the program and we can’t do it without you.  We hope all parents can be a part of it this year and make these events successful.  Your donations to the snack bar have and will continue to be appreciated.

Thank you again for your time, support and dedication to the boys volleyball program.
